This is a no reserve auction for a 1964 Canada silver dollar in uncirculated condition. This one has the CHARLOTTETOWN - QUEBEC 1864 - 1964 designation on the reverse side and was made only in 1964. Clockwise from the top of the design in the center of the reverse side of this coin are symbols representing some of the countries from which people came to help found the modern nation of Canada. France, Ireland, Scotland, and England. While the buying power of modern paper money seems to be slipping dramatically in these difficult financial times, the enduring value of these classic big silver dollars is obvious. I just like true treasure and these coins are it for me. Auctions give me a chance to enjoy them again. While the United States for the most part abandoned silver coins after 1964, Canada kept their silver coins through the Centennial year of 1967.Shipping for both the U.S. and Canada is $2.95 and that includes insurance (may be private or postal). Payment in the U.S. is PayPal to a confirmed address, money order, or personal check (may be held up to 7 days to clear--U.S. checks only). Canada: Payment is PayPal to a confirmed address, international or Canada post money order in U.S. dollars. No Canadian personal cheques please. |
