THIS IS A 2004 D-DAY PRIVY MARK SILVER MAPLE LEAF
The Royal Canadian Mint is proud to commemorate the sacrifices made by Allied veterans on the 60th anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 1944 during the Second World War, with the 2004 Silver Maple Leaf D-Day coin.
This is the first double privy mark coin ever minted by Canada. To the left of the maple leaf stem, a privy mark of an Allied infantryman with a rifle, wading ashore at Normandy, is depicted. To the right appears the commemoration "D-Day 6-6-44 Jour-J". The obverse features the new, fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
Each D-Day Privy Mark SML comes in a clear plastic capsule inside of a handsome, burgundy leatherette presentation case, with a black, textured outer box. Each coin comes with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.Specifications: Face Value: 5 dollarsMintage: 12,485Composition: 99.99% silverWeight (g): 31.39 - one ounceDiameter (mm): 38Edge: ReededCOMPLETE WITH RCM ORIGINAL BOX, DISPLAY CASE AND COA. |
