Up for auction is a 2007 American Silver Eagle Proof from the West Point mint. This coin comes complete to you with the outer navy blue US Mint box, a navy blue velvet presentation case, and a Certificate of Authenticity. The obverse design features Adolph A. Weinman’s full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, ever hopeful as she heads toward the sunrise, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left symbolizing both civil and military glory. The reverse design, by United States Mint sculptor/engraver John Mercanti, features a striking heraldic eagle with shield with an olive branch in the right talon symbolizing a desire for peace and arrows in the left talon acknowledging the necessity of war. This 2007-W American Silver Eagle Proof Dollar was purchased by me directly from the US Mint, is in excellent condition, and has never been removed from its capsule.
