Welcome to our Auction! This auction is for the three coin set, with a beautiful Redwood box, from The Franklin Mint called: "The Dawn of the New Millennium Eyewitness Commemorative Set". The photograph’s in this listing are both scanned images and photographs of the actual New Millennium medals and Redwood box you will receive. The medals are in plastic and mounted in the blue metal 'sheet' (see below). I found this information about this set on the net: "Dawn of the New Millennium Medal Collections. Called "The Dawn of the New Millennium Eyewitness Commemorative Medal Collection, consists of three 39mm medals, minted in solid sterling silver to the highest proof-quality standard. The three designs record historic "firsts" of the New Millennium. The first island where the sun will rise - Balleny Island in the Antarctic; the first nation to embrace this sunrise - Millennium Island in Kiribati; and New Zealand's Pitt Island - where the first citizens will witness the dawning of this new age. Complete with a numbered certificate of authenticity and a hardwood keepsake display by The Franklin Mint – retailed at 105.00” The box measures approximately 6 inches square and stands 1 1/4 inches tall (not counting the rubber feet).
