What a great deal this is if you want all of the Susan B. Anthony silver dollar coin collection. All at one time. No hunting and bidding and all the other stuff involved in aquiring an eighteen (18) coin collection which includes the following:1979(P) Far Date; 1979(P) Near Date; 1979(D); 1979(S); 1979(S) proof Clear "S"; 1979(S) Proof "filled "S"; 1980(P); 1980(D); 1980(S); 1980(S) Proof; 1981(P); 1981(D); 1981(S); 1981(S) Proof Clear "S"; 1981(S) Proof filled "S"; 1999(P); 1999(D); and 1999(P) Proof. There are some things that need to be concidered if you are just starting to think about collecting all the coins that make up the complete collection of the coins that are included in this album. The price of the individual coins have increased dramaticly. Especially the 1979(S) Clear "S" or type and the 1981S) type2 or clear "S". The prices for those four coins alone have shot up dramaticly. Over a month ago the 1979 type 2 retailed at $225.00 from Littleton Coins. None of the other dealers that I have dealt with in the past had even one coin of that date and mint mark over two weeks ago. The 1981(S) type 2 was not available even through Littleton. What I am surprise about is the 1999(P) Proof. According to littleton there were only 750,000 of these coins minted. Compared to the year/mint mark 1979(S) both type1 and 2 over 3,677,000 were minted and the 1981(S) type 1&2 there were 4,063,000 minted. So, logic says that the 1999(P) Proof will shortly be heading towards the galaxy. But, I've been wrong before.
I have no idea of how this album will be accepted so I'm just going to wing it and start it out with a bid of, hold onto your shorts, a whole $0.99. and nor reserve either. I could possible hate myself in the morning. No, I have faith in the auctions and believe there are a few of you out there that will appreciate the value and the great opportunity this presents to you. So, good luck and good bidding. Please bid high.
