Nashua and Lowell Railroad NH Stock 1900 Description Rare and beautiful stock certificate of the NASHUA AND LOWELL RAILROAD CORPORATION, dated Stember 13, 1900 and signed by John Brooks as treasurer and F.A. Brooks as president. Detailed vignette of early locomotive with New Hampshire countryside in the background. The railroad ran only 15 miles from Nashua, NH to Lowell, MA Massachusetts. The company also leased the Stony Brook, the Wilton and Peterboro roads, but transferred those leases along with its namesake line to Boston & Lowell Railroad. The road was leased to the Boston & Lowell for 99 years from October 1, 1880 and in 1887 the lease was transferred to Boston & Maine Railroad. Stamp cancels slightly affect signatures but not the vignette.
